Tracy + Cassie were one of my couples that had their plans put on hold due to Covid. Originally they had planned for a Hawaii wedding, and after months of waiting and lots of uncertainty, they decided to say eff it and elope somewhere they had always wanted to go. La Jolla is honestly one of my most favorite and special places. It was where Shawn and I had out first date, and I was so excited that Tracy and Cassie were starting this part of their relationship here. It also meant so so much that they included me in the planning process and asked for my input. I always love helping my couples plan their day and giving my isight. After the stress they went through with reschedules and cancellations it felt like the least I could do!
We started the day with their first look (one of my favorite things ever!!) and private vows at the stunning historic casita they were staying in. I loved taking advantage of the sleek and colorful architecture. We headed down to La Jolla cove and explode the beaches, and then ended the day at Sunset Cliffs. We got so so lucky with the weather. It was forecasted for rain all day, and right before their first look the clouds dissipated. We got kissed with the tiniest bit of rain during their vows, but it was honestly so dreamy.
I'm so happy for these two and that everything ended up coming together so perfectly. I truly believe everything works out how it's supposed to, and seeing my couples so full of joy and love after this past crazy year is so fulfilling.
Here is what they had to say ❤️ - "We cant find enough positive things to say about our experience with Moriel. From her initial phone contact with us as we decided who would capture this special moment, to her kindness and understanding as we pushed our wedding date multiple times due to a pandemic, and not to mention managing a complete change of location (thousands of miles) without even missing a beat. We never doubted our choice to work with her. Moriel... You took two awkward people and made us feel inspired, confident and happy to be in front of your camera. Your natural ability in capturing the love we feel for each other and the happiness in that moment, is something we can never thank you enough for. Our family and friends weren’t able to be there in person to share such a special day with us, but the pictures you took, and story they told, helped them to feel there, in that moment with us and that’s something we will be forever grateful for. You are beyond talented, a complete professional and just an all round wonderful human! Thank you! If anyone is looking for an incredible photographer, we encourage you to reach out to Moriel!"
